Thoma Everett Blasingame
Thomas Everett Blasingame, was born February 2, 1898 in Ellis County Texas. Known as Tom Blasingame he was a Texas cowboy for seventy-three years. At ninety-one, he was still on the job at the JA Ranch in Armstrong County Texas. Blasingame married Eleanor Morris in 1933 when he was 35. During their marriage he lived during the week at the Campbell Creek Camp in Palo Duro Canyon, nine miles south of ranch headquarters. The camp had no electricity or telephone and his wife lived in nearby Claude. Tom visited her every weekend. She died in 1999.
