Life in Floyd County Texas 1850 - 1950
Marisue and Stanley (Teen) Burleson in 1945

Marisue & Teen Burleson 1945

Marysue and "Teen" Burleson grew up on a large ranch near Matador and Floydada. The ranch is still owned and operated by the Burleson family. Teen had a lot of room to grow up in those jeans with those jeans rolled up nearly to his knees. Marysue grew up to become a respected historian and author writing about her life on the ranch. Several of her books including Motley County Roundup, Ridgely Greathouse and Cowgirls Don't Cry can be found in Books About and By People from Motley County. She writes under the name Marisue Burleson Potts. Teen passed on January 12, 2023.
