In 1900 a group of Cottle County pioneers and officials posed in front of the Cottle County courthouse in Paducah Texas. This is the second courthouse that was built in Cottle County. In 1892 a wood frame structure was built by L Lenoir at a cost of $1,096. In 1893 to 1894 a two story brick courthouse was designed and constructed by A J White and constructed in Paducah. The third and present courthouse was built at a cost of $157,641 in 1930.
