Coldwater Courthouse in 1904This This photo, taken in 1904, shows the Sherman County Courthouse in Coldwater Texas when it was used by the Baptist Church. The Sherman County Courthouse in Coldwater was completed in August of 1890, it was built of rock and was 22' x 33'. The builder, J.M. Turner, is at the far right in this picture. In 1901 the county seat was moved to Stratford. By 1904 the only business left was the store / post office which closed in 1907. The stone courthouse is no longer standing.
