Seat: Lebanon
Warren County is the 79th fastest growing county in the
US based on rate of growth between January 2000 and July 2006
for all counties that began the century with more than ten
thousand inhabitants, according to recent U.S. Census Bureau
estimates.
Warren County which was established in 1803, grew in
population to 159,169 by the year 2000. In the six years that
marked the beginning of the 21st Century, the county increased
the number of inhabitants by 26.8 percent bringing the
estimated total population in July 2006 to 201,871.
The outstanding growth of the last six years has made Warren
County the second fastest growing county in the Buckeye State
of Ohio and the 79th fastest growing in the US.
The median value for homes within the 400 square mile
jurisdiction of Warren County was $142,200 in 2000 but the
Bureau had no statistics on home value for 2006. Determining
how the rapid growth may have affected the value of homes in
the area is difficult but the current auctions that follow
should give some indication of the bargains still available. |
