Clay County is the 76th fastest growing county in the US based
on rate of growth between January 2000 and July 2006 for all
counties that began the century with more than ten thousand

Clay County which was established in 1858, grew in population

beginning of the 21st Century, the county increased the number
of inhabitants by 27 percent bringing the estimated total

The outstanding growth of the last six years has made Clay
County the eleventh fastest growing county in the Sunshine
State of Florida and the 76th fastest in the nation.
The median value for homes within the 601 square mile
jurisdiction of Clay County was $108,400 in 2000 but the

how the rapid growth may have affected the value of homes in
the area is difficult but the current auctions that follow
should give some indication of the bargains still available.
