26th Fastest Growing County In the Nation Hamilton County, Indiana Seat: Noblesville Hamilton County is the 26th fastest growing county in America based on percent of growth between January 2000 and July 2006 for all counties that began the 21st Century with more than ten thousand residents according to recent U.S. Census Bureau estimates. Hamilton County which was founded in 1823, had already grown
in population to 182,740 by the year 2000. But in the six
years that marked the beginning of the 21st Century, the
county increased the number of inhabitants by 37.3 percent
bringing the estimated total population in July 2006 to
250,979. |
