See Your House from Space With Google's Latest Version of Google Earth

Google Earth is a free, downloadable program that allows you to view the entire Earth from orbit with amazing high resolution 3D color satellite photographs.

The free virtual earth program is fun, a little spooky, even addictive, but most of all, the program is incredibly useful for ordinary people, government officials, business and law enforcement.

Finding your own house is easy; just type in your address and click "fly to". Then zoom in so close you can practically read the tag on the car in the driveway.  Soar over the the neighborhood like for a birds-eye view then dive in for a close-up and personal look at your workplace, friends houses or any place in the world. Use your mouse to tilt the the image for a unique 3-D view you won't find anywhere else on the Internet.

News for Public Officials uses Google Earth Pro to find pictures that illustrate many of our articles. But before we bought a license to the Pro version we flew the free version and looked at our own neighborhood from space. We were astonished. We found all the satellite images we would ever want and had a blast. It feels like playing a video game that lays the entire world at your feet. Now we are revisiting all of our articles and including the incredibly detailed satellite and aerial images from Google Earth wherever we can.
