Ralna English

Born Ralna Eve English born June 19, 1942, Haskell, Texas. Ralna grew up in Lubbock, Texas,
where, as a teenager she won a local battle of the bands competition
with her group "Ralna and the Ad-Libs". One of her competitors was
legendary rock star Buddy Holly. After attending Texas Tech
University, and singing jingles for television commercials in
Dallas, Ralna relocated to California in the late 1960s.
After performing at night clubs and
doing soundtracks for commercials she joined the Lawrence Welk show
in 1969. In 2007 she had a TV solo called Ralna English: From My
Heart. Also in 2007 she published the "Ralna English Family
Cookbook"
Ralna is living in Scottsdale, Arizona, She still maintains a
busy concert schedule, either performing as a solo act or with her
ex-husband, Guy Hovis. with whom she gained fame as half of the
husband-and-wife singing duo of Guy & Ralna..
