Larry Pine was born March 3, 1945 in Tucson, Arizona. He grew up in Midland,
Texas where he became involved with acting in high school after
transferring out of speech class. Larry had roles in high school
drama and worked at the community theater in Midland. After High
School he received a Bachelor of Arts at the University of North
Texas in Denton and a Master of Fine Arts at New York
University in 1968. He has starred in film and television, with roles on series including As the World Turns, One Life to Live, All My Children, Hostages, and House of Cards, and roles in films including Alone in the Dark, Plain Clothes, Vanya on 42nd Street, Dead Man Walking, Before and After, The Royal Tenenbaums, Maid in Manhattan, Melinda and Melinda, Killing Kasztner, Moonrise Kingdom, Jimmy P: Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian, and The Grand Budapest Hotel. In 2018 Pine played the role of Frank Whalen in Beirut and Jack Dorner in An Actor Prepares. |
