Life in Dawson County Texas 1850 - 1950

Sometime in the late 1920s fifteen boys posed for this team photo of the boys baseball team in Lamesa Texas for this great old photo. The school building on the left originally housed all grades 1-12. At the time of this photo, it housed 1-8 grades after a new high school was built on the same property & occupied in '25. The boys are standing on the corner of South 1st & Avenue L. The house behind them is still there.
