Joe D. Montgomery

Montgomery was a politician, educator and businessman
who was born in Floydada, Texas January 28, 1918. During World
War II, Montgomery served in the US Army Air Forces.
After the war he
moved to Anchorage, Alaska where he was a teacher,
principal and superintendent of the Anchorage Public
Schools and served two terms as a Republican in the
Alaska House of Representatives. He died October 5, 2013
in Anchorage Alaska at the age of 95.
