Fort Bend County Clerk Subpoenaed In Tom Delay Case
The Fort Bend County County Clerk
has been asked to testify in the lawsuit raised by the Democrats against the
Texas Republican Party Chairwoman.
Dianne Wilson on Tuesday was served with a subpoena written by the attorney
for the Democratic Party of Texas in which she is asked to provide records
pertaining to the residency of former U.S. Rep. Tom DeLay, as well as
various records having to do with elections in Fort Bend County.
She was also was asked to testify in the northwest Houston office of the
Democratic Party's attorney on Friday afternoon.
The Fort Bend County Attorney's Office, led by Roy Cordes Jr., filed another
motion this week asking for the subpoena to be quashed, and Friday's
deposition has been canceled.
