Economic Stimulus Money! Do You
Qualify? Are You Eligible?
Here's
ten surprisingly easy ways to do it yourself
News for Public Officials - Updated December 2010
If you know where to look and you don't mind
putting a little effort into doing it yourself, stimulus money is
available for just about every aspect of your life. Both private and government programs
may provide fast help for rent, unemployment,
home ownership, help with rising energy costs, money for college, cars and
even credit card debt. For many families, independent programs may be the
fastest resource for immediate assistance.
Struggling families nationwide are creating their own bailout programs with help
from
service providers who understand the intricacies of private
and government stimulus incentives currently offered through thousands of federal, state,
community and commercial assistance programs.
Although not all of these are part of the
federal stimulus package, independent service providers may often
produce very
fast and very effective help during this economic crisis.
Credit Card Act of 2009
New Consumer Protection Law
"The days of any time, any reason rate
hikes and late fee traps have to end," President Obama said in
August 2009..
According to the White
House, the average American family carries a credit card balance of
$10,000. In March, President Obama announced, "The days of any time, any reason rate hikes and late fee traps
have to end." This is good news for struggling consumers.
New
credit card laws of 2008, 2009 and proposed laws set to go into effect in 2010
along with government bailouts are motivating banks and credit card
lenders to
quickly settle debt
with debt settlement specialists. You
could eliminate half of what you owe.
On Thursday, August
20, 2009, provisions of the Credit Card Accountability, Responsibility,
and Disclosure Act ("CARD") signed into law by President Obama last May
became effective. Other provisions of the law go into effect February 22,
2010.
Now that the
government is cracking down on credit card lenders, struggling cardholders
need to act fast to see if you may be eligible to quickly and legally
settle half your debt - without bankruptcy.

Restructure Your Mortgage - Keep your home
affordable!
If you are current on your mortgage but struggling with the payments, refinancing your home with an
FHA
,
Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac,
USDA
or conventional fixed-rate mortgage can make your home affordable again
and save you thousands of dollars. President Obama's administration is urging homeowners
to refinance, restructure or modify your mortgage. Click here to quickly determine if you qualify for refinance loan restructuring.
Worried About Foreclosure?
This
year, one in ten homeowners is facing foreclosure, but new initiatives from
the government and private service providers for
loan modification and refinancing are making home affordable
again for millions of struggling homeowners. Loan modification allows
homeowners and lenders to change the
terms of your loan in order to stop foreclosure. A loan
modification is NOT a new loan. For many, it is often the ONLY option
for homeowners with bad credit that are behind on their mortgage. You
can take on the bank by yourself or you can
complete
one secure form to
get a personalized plan to
find out if you qualify. You have no obligation. There is no
credit check and no social security number is required. If you owe at
least $100,000 and are behind on your payments you may be
eligible to
stop foreclosure fast, modify your loan, eliminate your back payments
and save your home.
In some cases you may qualify for government rebates of up to $8,000.
In addition, at-risk homeowners may be eligible for assistance from
local Section 8, HEAT programs, and other local housing authority
assistance programs.
Let Your House Pay Your Taxes, Secure Your Retirement and Put
Tax-Free Money in Your Pocket
If you're 62 years old or older and need money to pay off
debt, cover medical expenses, or help out the kids you'll be happy to know
Congress has raised the amount banks may pay you while you enjoy your
retirement from the comfort and security of your own home. The American
Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 raised the limit for
government-backed
reverse mortgages to $625,500.
There are no income, employment or credit qualifying restrictions. You own

Home Value Down? Take 40% or More Off Your Home Insurance
(and maybe your taxes)
One in six
of all homeowners is now underwater.
In some of the hardest hit areas, more than
80% of homeowners owe more than their home is worth. In 2008 American
homeowners collectively saw $3.3 trillion erased from the value of their
real estate while at the same time property taxes and insurance remained
the same or even worse - went up. While many homeowners struggle to keep their
heads above water, others are actually lowering home payments by bringing insurance
and taxes in line with lower home values . . .
Cut your homeowner insurance by 40%.
