Sandoval County is the 92nd fastest growing county in
the US based on rate of growth between January 2000 and July
2006 for all counties that began the century with more than
ten thousand inhabitants, according to recent U.S. Census
Bureau estimates.
Sandoval County which was established in 1903, grew in
population to 90,584 by the year 2000. In the six years that
marked the beginning of the 21st Century, the county increased
the number of residents by 25.6 percent bringing the estimated
total population in July 2006 to 113,772.
The outstanding growth of the last six years has made Sandoval
County the fastest growing county in the The Land of
Enchantment and the 92nd fastest growing county in the US.
The median value for homes within the 3,710 square mile
jurisdiction of Sandoval County was $115,400 in 2000 but the
Bureau had no statistics on home value for 2006. Determining
how the rapid growth may have affected the value of homes in
the area is difficult but the current auctions that follow
should give some indication of the bargains still available. |
